'Twas the week before Christmas,
And all through the town,
Our members were busy,
Upstairs and down!

Downtown, preparations for the North American International Auto Show are in full swing, and the theatres are jumping. In the suburbs, plenty of film jobs are being shot.
Warren Wilson shares these shots from the Auto Show at Detroit's Cobo Center:
< L-R: Curtis Everage, Charles Lawson, and Wilson Ester, assembling plasma display screens.
John Strachan (L) with Teamsters Local 299 member Jimmy Albert at the BMW display.
< Chul Hee Cho (L) and Jay Maculevicz. Someone give Jay a cup of coffee!
Local 38 Steward Mike Patterson admits defeat in a battle with Frank's Hot Sauce!
< (L-R) Jeff and David Moore, representing On Site Specialists. OSS is coordinating this year's Daimler/Chrysler Press Show.

OSS also recently coordinated an event at the Detroit Science Center...
Marvin Bowie (L) and Tony Pozzuoli.>

This was no walk in the Park!
Meanwhile, out at Kensington Metropark, BBDO Detroit's Cindy Thompson produced an HD video for the Chrysler Pacifica. Thompson retained the services of: Gaffer Pat O'Dea, Key Grip Ken Ferguson, Grip/Camera Car Driver Bill Strachan, Grip Joe Miller, and Script Supervisor Kim Kirkpatrick.

It turned out to be a productive day, despite temperatures near freezing with a steady wind...
Strapped into the back of the camera truck, IATSE Local 600 members Larry Trinkaus and Andy Hoehn get ready to go 'round again!
