| Patty Boucher writes: Brent and I have been in charge of the games & activities for the past 4 picnics. We set up a welcome tent and passed out goody bags for the kids, along with raffles for prizes for kids & adults. Each person gets a "backstage pass" lanyard (created by myself). The raffles consisted of: Adults - CD stereo system (won by Tim Miller), TV/VCR combo (won by Paul Shuffet), $50 Lonestar Steak House Certificate (won by Keith Wandrei), Craftsman toolbag (won by Don Ritter). Kids raffles consisted of: Personal CD players, Gameboy Advances, scooters & Leap pad learning systems. We had a Horseshoe Tournament that started out with 16 teams, leaving the winners (Dave VanHorn & Tony Pazzuoli) with a $50 Sears gift card each. The adults also had an egg toss - winners received a $25 Lonestar Cert. each. We didn't do the Adult tug of war this year--time ran out plus, last year (stagehands vs. motion picture) they broke the rope--so I think they were afraid of falling down again this year. We played tons of games with the kids and they all won prizes. For activities we had a sand art table - every one loves this! We had a Bobby's Bouncer--moonwalk thing, clowns that did face painting and a magic show, plus lots of other stuff. |
