As part of an initiative developed by Local 38's Good & Welfare Committee, we invited 44 students and instructors from Detroit Public High Schools to attend a performance of "Margaret Garner" during its World Premiere run at the Detroit Opera House.
After the performance, Diva Angela Brown participated in a backstage tour, and held a discussion with the students. Local 38 members Mukstar Ali, Mike Graham, John Kinsora, Larry Lawson, and Bob Mesinar were on hand to greet the students and organize the tour.
